Foreign groups visits
To make the stay of the foreign groups participating in the International Folklore Festival - Montana 2023 interesting, the hosts organized for them visits to sights and excursions.
The most inquisitive were the groups from the city of Bishkek - Kyrgyzstan and from the city of Borgarfjörður - Iceland. They wanted to visit cultural institutions and sights in Montana. Among them were the Regional History Museum - Montana, Department "State Archive" - Montana under the Directorate "Regional State Archive" - Montana and Ancient Fortress "Castra ad Montanesium".
The club of optimistic folklorists from Ljubljana - Slovenia and group "Sporid" from Iceland were on an excursion to the Belogradchik rocks. Despite the foggy weather, they were impressed by the natural phenomenon nominated among the wonders of the world.
The young guests from North Macedonia preferred to enjoy the mineral pool in the village of Barzia.
Before departure, guests from Kyrgyzstan and Iceland toured the capital. Thanks to the cooperation of the Municipal Enterprise "Tourism" - Sofia, they took a walking tour with a guide and saw a lot of emblematic sights there. Professional tour guides interestingly and fascinatingly presented the talks about Sofia. The folklore group from Kyrgyzstan had the unique opportunity to see the guard in front of the Presidency.
