of the International Folk Festival – Montana 2023, in the frame of the celebration of the Day of Montana – Holly Spirit’ Day 2023
June 2, 2023 (Friday)
8 - 10 а.m. Arrival of the groups from Kirgizstan
June 3, 2023 (Saturday)
Breakfast between 7 and 9 a.m.
7a.m.–3 p.m. Arrival of the groups from Iceland, North Macedonia and Slovenia
The bus must be parked on the left site of the hotel between the hotel and the school. Accommodation in Hotel “Zhitomir” – Montana. Meal. Money exchange.
Lunch – between 12 and 2 p.m.
4:00 p.m. Departure to spa resort Varshets (35 km far away from Montana) for the groups from North Macedonia, optionally Kirgizstan for participation in the International Folklore Festival "Colorful Necklace" - Varshets 2023. 30 min. performance (march in procession and 15-20 min performances)
Dinner – between 7 and 9 p.m.
June 4, 2023 (Sunday)
Breakfast between 7 and 9 a.m.
09:00 a.m. Departure to spa resort Varshets (35 km far away from Montana) for the groups from
Iceland and Slovenia for participation in the International Folklore Festival "Colorful Necklace" - Varshets 2023. 30 min. performance (march in procession and 15 - 20 min performances)
Lunch – between 12 and 2 p.m.
3:00 p.m. Working meeting of art managers, orchestra’s leaders, guides, sound engineer and organizers for specifying the details of the program of the festival. Every group brings on USB or CD its national anthem and musical accompaniment of dances. Please, write the file names (the same as the name of the dance) in Latin alphabet.

3:30 p.m. Sound check for orchestras and short rehearsal for groups at the stage. Every group brings on USB or CD its national anthem and musical accompaniment of dances if it is necessary. Please, write the file names (the same as the name of the dance) in Latin alphabet.
Rehearsal of the opening
5:00 p.m. Reception by the Mayor of Municipality of Montana - for all of members of the groups. Required – all of group members to be dressed with national costumes. Exchange of representative gifts. The art managers should tell a short speech (2- 3 min. in order to present the group and its native place).
Hall of the Municipal Youth Home
7:30 p.m. Opening ceremony of the 16th International Folklore Festival - Montana '2023 with participation of all of groups. (Each group must perform 20 min. and must bring its national flag and nameplate. The nameplate will be given by organizers.)
Square "Zheravitsa" /The dementions of the stage are 8 n 10 m. There is a professional sound equipment. The dressing „rooms“ are in tents behind the stage./
Dinner – between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
June 5, 2023 (Monday)

11:00 a.m. "Celebration in Montana" - a concert of dance groups from all of the
groups participating in the International Folklore Festival - Montana 2023 (each group performs 10 min.)

6:00 p.m. Folk concert of groups from Montana (the foreign groups are invited as audience)
Dinner – between 8:30 and 9 p.m.

8:30 a.m. Excursion to Belogradchik for groups from Iceland and Slovenia
Leisure activities for the group from North Macedonia
After the breakfast – visit of the Ancient fortress, Lapidarium, Orthodox Church, Art Gallery, Local museum for groups from Kyrgyzstan and North Macedonia – optional
Lunch – between 12 and 2 p.m. (In case the group is on excursion for lunch will be provided sandwiches)
Dinner – between 7:00 and 9 p.m.
7:30 p.m. 16. International Folklore Festival "Montana 2023" - concert by the representative dance ensemble "Pastrina" from Montana and Folklore Group "Club of Optimistic Folklorists" (COF) from Ljubljana - Slovenia

8:30 p.m. Concert of Dance ensemble "Severnyatsi" from Montana, Folk dance and music group "Onor-Kenchi", "Agama", "Aim-Ene" from the city of Bishkek - Kyrgyzstan, Folk ensemble to the Cultural Society "Taše Miloševski" from the town of Resen - North Macedonia.
